SAMBÁFRICA
The album SAMBÁFRICA, which is already on platforms, exalts the African Continent and narrates the place of speech of the Afro-Gaúcho, drummer, percussionist, singer, composer, producer and music educator Marcelo Amaro.
The project arises through studies and research into the origin of the word and the musical genre Samba. Of origin on the African continent.
The word Samba is a name and/or surname in countries such as Senegal and Guinea Conakry, both located in West Africa, and are part of the Malinke ethnic-linguistic group. As for the musical genre, researchers claim that Samba comes from Semba, which means umbigar, in the Umbundu language of the Bantu ethnic-linguistic group, still in the ancient kingdom of Congo/Angola.
The exquisite musical production of SAMBÁFRICA is carried out by Daniel Delavusca and Tuti Rodrigues.

AFROGAÚCHO
The third album by the singer, composer, percussionist and art educator, from Porto Alegre, based in Rio de Janeiro for 20 years, Marcelo Amaro, entitled AFROGAÚCHO, whose name of the album AFROGAÚCHO comes from reading the book A INVISIBILIDADE DO NEGRO NO SUL FROM BRAZIL - INVISIBILITY AND TERRITORIALITY, years later Marcelo Amaro composes the song Afrogaúcho, in partnership with Mamau de Castro and Dona Conceição.
With musical arrangements by Daniel Delavusca, the project carries in its musical concept dialogues of Brazilian sound accents, having the instrumentation of Rio's urban samba as a base, intertwined with the drums of Congada do Maçambique, the great drum of Sopapo and the drums of the World.
AFROGAÚCHO instigates a musical journey from the Afro-Southern universe to the African continent, with ten new tracks, where Amaro pays homage to his family and emotional roots, to Quilombos throughout Brazil, to Rio de Janeiro, his second city, to Quilombo do Morro Alto and Pelotas (Satolep).

"The musical proposal of the album Viva a Percussão is to trace a percussive dialogue based on samba, the mother cell of Brazilian music, and its origins with the most emblematic rhythms of Brazil and the African continent", concludes Amaro.

BANQUET
“Banquete” is Marcelo Amaro’s first album and is a beautiful gift for samba lovers!
When listening to this album we smell the cuisine and the “joie de vivre” of Brazilian culture. Anyone who knows knows that beans are prepared with specific seasonings, ingredients to taste, taking care of the temperature so as not to lose the nutrients and much less burn them.
For the recording in his hometown, he brought together great musicians with music producer Tuti Rodrigues and chose an original and unreleased repertoire with the special participation of Serginho Moah.
The album shows the appreciation of the contribution of the Afro-Brazilian people to music, their culture, their customs, charms and mandingas. Long live the creative economy that today allows artists to choose their path and the public is grateful. This EP is the result of the appropriation of the experiences of his 23-year career that allowed the artist Marcelo to give meaning to his work that he began as a boy when he transformed his mother's pans into loud percussion instruments.
